Daisy Morton has just been watching tonight's BBC1 television programme The Diamond Queen, to mark Her Majesty the Queen's Diamond Jubilee, this year.

On the 60th anniversary of Her Majesty the Queen's Accession to the throne of the United Kingdom, I wish to propose that we, her loyal subjects, should buy Her Majesty a new Royal Yacht, as a mark of the respect, love and gratitude that we hold for her as our Sovereign and Queen and to thank her for her long reign as our Monarch.

I propose that the new Royal Yacht should be for Her Majesty's own personal use and for the continuance of Her Royal duties around our own native shores, and for her Royal and Ceremonial duties for the Commonwealth and other world destinations.

And to this end, I also propose that each adult citizen of the United Kingdom should gift a sum of no less than £5.00 towards the expense of such a vessel.
